Wonders of the West Country

Join our summer holiday to Devon where we see delightful gardens, take a ride on a vintage tram and visit picture-perfect towns.

Day 1

Morning departure from your local pick up point, we make our way to Devon with comfort stops en route.

Day 2

Today we visit Seaton for a ride on a vintage tram. Be transported back to a bygone era as you step aboard the tram for a 3 mile journey through the glorious Axe Valley to the ancient town of Colyton. There is a short stop here to pick up a souvenir from the gift shop or grab some light refreshments at the station café before the return tram journey to Seaton, where we will have some free time.

Day 3

Today we visit RHS Rosemoor. Breathe in the sweet-smelling scents of more than 250 varieties of blooms in the two Rose Gardens, head to the vibrant Hot Garden to see sizzling colours of reds, oranges and yellows, with waves of plants chosen for heat and vibrancy or retreat to the serene pastels and blues of the Cool Garden.

Day 4

Today you can choose to have a leisurely day in Tiverton or join our included excursion to Barnstaple. Nestled in the heart of North Devon this ancient town has medieval charm and boasts a number of museums and a bustling High Street.

Day 5

After breakfast, we rejoin the coach for our return journey home.

Tiverton Hotel Lounge & Venue

On the outskirts of Tiverton, Tiverton Hotel Lounge & Venue formally Best Western is just 20 minutes from Exmoor National Park. Set in mature gardens, the hotel has free Wi-Fi and a restaurant. The spacious bedrooms at Tiverton Best Western each have a private bathroom and tea and coffee facilities. All rooms have a seating area and satellite TV, and ironing facilities are also available. The Gallery Restaurant serves traditional, regional cuisine using fresh local produce. The hotel does not have a lift but ground floor rooms are available.
