Every summer the childhood home of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, opens its doors to welcome thousands of visitors. All visitors to Althorp view the ground floor of the House, the thoughtful exhibition chronicling her life, and the tranquil island in the centre of an ornamental lake were she lays at rest. Very few, however, get to take afternoon tea in the State Dining Room, a room not normally open to the public.

Saturday
A morning departure as we head over to Stratford-upon-Avon which is known the globe over as the birthplace of the most celebrated playwright. |

Sunday
Today we will have the full day to explore Althorp House which is the ancestral home of the late princess Diana Princess of Wales including afternoon tea in The State Dining room. |
