A morning departure as we make our way to Brighton and the Old Ship Inn on the Seafront for four nights’ dinner, bed and breakfast. Upon arrival at the hotel we will be greeted with tea and coffee. 

Today we have a half day excursion to Lewes. Nestled into the South Downs, not far from Brighton, this town is packed with history, charm and character. The castle, originally called Bray Castle, stands at the highest point of Lewes on an artificial mound constructed with chalk blocks. We return to Brighton mid afternoon.

Following breakfast we spend a full day in Eastbourne to take in the charming sights and sounds of this Victorian classic beach front resort. Everything is within easy reach with the seafront promenade virtually leading straight on to the foot of the beautiful Eastbourne Downs and the town centre just a few yards from the centrally located Victorian Pier.

Sadly after breakfast we bid farewell to our hosts and leave Brighton and make our way homeward arriving home late afternoon.
