The Great Yorkshire Show is the North's leading agricultural event and takes place in July 2011 on the 250-acre Great Yorkshire Showground on the edge of the spa town of Harrogate. 2011 will be the 153rd Great Yorkshire Show and will be a celebration of agriculture and country life. The Main Ring is the hub of the Show - providing a wonderful setting for International Show Jumping and the World-Class Cattle Parade.
The 250-acre site is filled with animals, country demonstrations, have-a-go activities and the Great Yorkshire Cheese & Dairy Show. Plus there's fashion, rural crafts and shopping! Admission ticket is an optional extra; please choose your ticket type when booking.
Harlow Carr is a garden dominated by water, stone and woodland and is very much part of the surrounding Yorkshire landscape. The gardens offer great variety - wild flower meadows, water and woodland, as well as a productive fruit and vegetable garden. We depart the Harlow Carr Gardens early afternoon for Harrogate, where you will have the afternoon.
Come to the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and see over 100 life-size scarecrows in one of the most exciting annual festivals celebrating a traditional country skill. Each scarecrow is individually made in the traditional way by local people and then placed around the beautiful village of Kettlewell in Wharfedale.
With a morning departure we head to Chester for some free time to look around the shops and treat yourself to something nice! We then head to the Mill Hotel, where moored outside is the restaurant cruiser, our vessel for the next few hours. Once onboard a delicious three-course lunch is served, dine in comfort and watch the landscape float by as you travel through locks and tunnels along the Shropshire Union Canal.
The Lincolnshire Show enjoys a reputation for being one of the finest county agricultural shows in the country. The show will feature the best of Lincolnshire products and a wealth of other regional traders and craftsmen, together with many side shows and parades.

This Autumn Air Display is often the last chance to see Shuttleworth’s Collections of aircraft in the air before the long winter maintenance period. As well as the Collection's superb fleet, a number of visiting acts always feature in the Air Displays and the Autumn show was no different with formation aerobatics and a couple of wonderful warbirds joining in. The leafy surroundings of Old Warden Aerodrome are the perfect place to spend a sunny autumnal day watching some of world's rarest aircraft perform.
